Happy Friday Day gang!! I have been on a roll lately with my blogging! I hope you all have been keeping up with me!

I follow this fun company called www.rocktheshotforum.com. Its so fun. Lots of tutorials and challenges. This week was silhouettes. :)

Today I have a picture I took a while back. This lovely bride contacted me a little too late. I was already booked on her wedding day but she still requested that I do her bridals. I was thrilled. She is this sassy redhead. Lots of fun. I had a bit of a challenge. She wanted something fun and edgy but the location didnt have much to offer on that so we played around with lighting and such. Her dress fit her so lovely that I knew I had to do a silhouette. There was this corner of two windows at a right angle. So I placed her in one and the other added a bit of accent lighting on her dress and arms. I liked the way this one turned out.

Happy friday!! Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!!

*Love and Hugs*

I follow these fabulous photographers Scarlett and Stephen: Wedding Photographers In Love Scarlettlovesstephen.com. They are amazing. Great style and very inspirational.  One of their latest blogs was a challenge to other photogs to shoot something or post something they already shot that was not their style or something out of the ordinary for them. Well being a wedding and portrait photographer, landscapes and weather shots are not my forte. So when thinking about a shot that would stick out in my portfolio I immidiatly thought of this image.

This is from a wedding a few months ago. They were ending their lovely day with fireworks. But this storm system (that the venue owner and myself had been watching on the radar all day) rolled in sooner than expected and decided to give us a really good show. And Im glad it did...because I was able to get this awesome shot. Fireworks AND Lightning! In one shot!

Brandon was such a good sport and was up for anything. I told them to bring any props they wanted. He ended up bringing his guitar. He is a very talented.

Oh Ms Jessi. She is so funny. This girl was rocking a big bandage on her leg. She slide into home base (she was safe by the way hahaha) the week before. Oh...this couple kept me on my toes. lol

Jessi did some location scouting for me and found an AMAZINGLY awesome place!!

David and Jill are that precious couple you can visualize 50-60 years from now sitting on their front porch still looking at each other as they do now. Completely in love. These two were so great to work with. Perfectly happy with each other. You just know that they have a wonderful life ahead of them.

We met up at the Hendrix in Conway. They have a fabulous wedding planned for March of this year in the chapel on campus. It was a lovely fall day and so we ended up in the great field Jill had scouted out for me. It was PERFECT.

Take a look at their images and I promise you will see the love I was talking about. :)

Wedding Tip #27: Don't over do it with the color scheme.

We have all been to those weddings where you walk in and it look like the covered the place in Pepto Bismol. Pinks everywhere. Or Greens and Purples everywhere that you feel like you're in a very well dressed jungle. Or Blacks and reds where start believing your in some sort of mafia. Well I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Courtney and Parker the other day.  I was very happy to see that,  yes....there was a color theme, but it was so well done and in good taste that it was just lovely.  The greens were consistant and carried out in all the details. The black and white damask came in in just the right place to add a pop of pattern. Very well thought out and made my heart happy.

So there is your tip: Just because it matches your chosen colors doesn't mean it has to be in the wedding.

Thanks also to the Little Black Dress Brigade who helped with the awesomeness of this wedding!
